The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office invested more than $890 million in low-interest loans to farmers in 2008, making the Cultivate Illinois program one of the largest agricultural linked deposit programs in the nation. We partner with eligible lenders to offer interest rate reductions for annual and long-term costs. We’ve also expanded our offerings by providing interest rate reductions to local governments, businesses and nonprofits that pursue green energy projects.
