Seguin Services Participant Markita Harris explains to Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford how her work in Seguin Gardens & Gifts greenhouse has benefited her life. Markita has gained extensive knowledge about horticulture and customer sales through her training at the greenhouse. This has improved her life by providing her gainful employment and marketable skills. Seguin provides residential homes, day service, case management and employment services to over 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs in the greater metropolitan Chicago area.

Seguin Services President/CEO John Voit welcomed Illinois State Treasure Dan Rutherford to Seguin Gardens & Gifts, one of Seguin’s earned income enterprises, on April 13. Seguin Gardens & Gifts earns income to support Seguin’s services to over 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs in greater metropolitan Chicago. These services include residential homes, day services, case management and employment services.

Seguin Services’ Director of Seguin Auto Center, welcomes Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford to Seguin Auto Center. The Auto Center is a earned income enterprise which employs 60 individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs in an auto detailing business and used car business. This benefits the individuals by providing job training and employment as well as earning income that can be used to support the other areas of the Seguin Services social service agency. Seguin services over 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs in the greater metropolitan Chicago area.
